I have been sorting a collection of song demos for a family archive. Some files came from a music generator and their export history is unclear. I would like the source recording to remain recognizable after the folders are tidied. Any experimental processing would go into a separate folder with a short note. Is a dated filename enough or would you also maintain a separate version list? One phrase that appears in my background reading is ai audio artifact removal in this context. I do not want that phrase to imply that a copy is free of every unwanted sound. A description of the affected passage and the chosen settings seems clearer. The archive will include a short explanation of where each demo came from who supplied it and whether the copy was exported again or changed after the original file was received. Does anyone have a straightforward archive convention that remains clear over time?
