My small resale page mostly contains clothes inherited from relatives. One listing called a jacket warm red although the edited photographs appeared cool purple elsewhere. No sale was lost though the color label suddenly seemed careless. Professional lights and calibrated monitors would cost more than these garments justify. My simple setup is a north-facing window neutral card and locked camera preset. This routine makes editing less arbitrary and I remain unsure how to label colors sitting between berry brown and red. I used this soft winter color palette page to build a small vocabulary list. I treat palette labels as comparison terms rather than personal recommendations. My draft format gives the main color first followed by a qualified temperature description. I intend to add one unfiltered neutral-card photo beside the styled images. This seems more honest than forcing every garment into an exact palette category. What low-cost steps have helped you keep garment colors comparable across listings? Examples of careful color language for muted reds and browns would be very useful.
